I am a Redwine descendant, thru Wiley and Avis Redwine. My Redwines were called Redwine Indians, and lived in an around Harlan County in the mountians. My mother told of cousins hiking 35 mile down to Kitts, and likely Ewarts, spending the night and leaving for home before day light. Someone suggested they were Moon Shiners back packing thier product out or down to the valleys for sale. I can not confirm or dispute that claim. Do any of your Redwines still live in Harlan or near by, or over the mountianin Appalacia. Id' sure like to hear from you, if they do.
