Joyce's listing for the 1840 Knox Co Census is correct By 1840 Wiley & Sarah had the following children: Mary "Polly" b Nov 1832 Sally b 1833 Samuel b 1834 Margaret 1838 I cannot find a marriage for Wiley Jones and Sarah Hendrickson in the Knox County, KY, Marriage Books, Book A 1800-1850 For 1831, the first entry is Jan 9, 1831 (actually for Jan 1831 there are only 2 marriages listed) Can someone check a map, that shows in WHICH COUNTY Straight Creek was located in 1831??? My source for the marriage on "Jan 4 1831 Straight Creek, Harlan Co, KY" Is (deceased) Geraldine Clipson, a descendent, who did the original research.
