Resthaven Cemetery at Keith was published by Harlan Heritage Seekers and indexed by Janette Nolan. Janette, could let u know if there are copies available. I got mine from Thelma Creech, when I visited the Harlan Library a few years ago. Tap Roots was walked and recorded by Evarts High School Humanities Class 1987/88.This book is hard to find and covers the East Harlan cemeteries. Ernest Pridemore walked Evarts Memorial Gardens. I don' t think it was ever put into book form but u can search, located in the rootsweb archives.that has been quite awhile ago and is not up to date. There are numerous family cemeteries. Some of Harlan cemeteries are overgrown from lack of care. We should get a campaign started to save the cemeteries, in Harlan, they have also been vandalized..I know there is state money for these projects. We have to speak up and let them know, the cemeteries are where our ancestors rest and they need to be preserved, maintained and fenced.
