In 1939 John hit her in the head with a hammer and killed her.. Mary is buried in Moore Cemetery in Keokee, Va. probably beside of her first husband JOseph Herron.. I believe when John Napier died his kids may have had him buried beside of his first wife there mom Elizabeth.. John had to die some times after the 1940`s because I have a picture of him and Frank Lee (His Grandson) who was murdered in Harlan Co. January 25, 1940.. In the Harlan Co.Ky. death index I found an Elizabeth Napier as dyeing September 9, 1919 now I don`t know if this is the same Elizabeth Garrett who was married to John Napier or not..
