A while back, I had asked if anyone knew of this cemetery. One person replied saying that they did, or thought they did....I can't remember..I've lost the email. I just got directions to the cemetery from my grandpa, and I'd like to confirm whether anyone knows of this cemetery. Directions: From Harlan, go towards Black Mountain, pass the High School, cross the bridge over the Cumberland River. You'll see a gravel road leading up to the cemetery. So far, the only people I know that are buried here, as per my grandpa, is Wille Osborn, Manerva Howard, Green Shackleford, and Babe ( Thomas) Shackleford. Does anyone know if there are other people buried here? I seem to recall my grandma telling me that there were other people besides her family buried there. At that time, when my grandma told me, I assumed "Kitts cemetery" was more than just a few graves, but now I'm not so sure. Also, my grandma told me that her grandpa, Willie Osborne, used to own lots of property in Kitts, and that he sold it to a man named Whiteford, or something like that, but when he sold it, Willie asked that he be allowed to keep and use the small family plot, which he did. Being that I don't know the 'exact' location of the cemetery, how would I find out who currently owns it, and how many folks are buried there?
