    3. This appeared in the Ironwood, Michigan Daily Globe last week. Don't know if she and her family are related to anyone still in Kentucky, but thought I'd post it just in case. I know that a lot of Kentuckians wound up in Michigan. Phyllis Jane Caudill Published Thursday, November 3, 2005 11:12:05 AM Central Time WATERSMEET, Mich. -- Jane Caudill, 63, of Watersmeet, died on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Eagle River Memorial Hospital in Eagle River, Wis. She was born on Jan. 15, 1942, in Marquette, daughter of the late Neil and Kathryn (Vaughan) Chapman. She spent her childhood in Trout Creek and graduated from Trout Creek High School in 1960. In 1960, she moved to Chicago and worked at Cory Corp. It was in Chicago where she met Richard Caudill of Watersmeet. They were married in Watersmeet on July 8, 1961, and moved back to Watersmeet in 1971. For many years, Jane worked as a waitress and most recently in guest services at Lac Vieux Desert Casino. Jane opened her home and her heart to all around her. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing large meals for everyone. Friends were welcomed and told to get a plate and fork to join the family. Jane's first concern was her family. She always put her husband, children and brothers first, and doted on all of her grandchildren. Jane will be forever missed by her husband, Richard; daughters, Janice (Danny) Ellis, Iron Mountain, Roxanne (Bobby) Majeske, Watersmeet, Patti Caudill, Lake Odessa, and Lynn (Jeff) Landers, Mundelein, Ill.; sons, Brian (Cathie), Crivitz, Wis., and Bruce (Lara), Watersmeet; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Vicki) Chapman, Lindenhurst, Ill., and Vaughan (Carol) Chapman, Cary, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews will also miss her deeply. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. CST, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watersmeet. Interment will be in the Watersmeet Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baycliff Camp. The Wandersee Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing is assisting the family.
