    3. Here are some more old obits from my cousin, June Du Charme. Today is "Caudill" day. Phyllis Caudill Obits Tilden Caudill Tilden Caudill, age 72, of Redfox, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 1983, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg. He was the son of the late James W. and Polly Caudill. He was born August 7, 1910. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Caudill; four sons, Shelby and Bobby James, both of Louisville, Jerry Lynn of Ft. Knox, and Curtis of Cowan; seven daughters, Wilma Lou Mullins of Mallie, Wava Ailene Combs, Barbara Ann Adams, Brenda Kay Adams and Sherry Lee Parks of Whitesburg, and Delena Sue Everage of Mt. Washington, Ky.; four sisters, Dana Hensley of Mt. Washington, Dicie Caudill and Stella Sturgill, both of Sassafras, and Doshie Everage of Fern Creek; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were Friday, April 26, at 12 noon at Mt. Olivet Regular Baptist Church, Blackey. Officiating ministers were Agnan Back, I.D. Back, John Preece and Clarence Dixon. Active pallbearers were grandsons and son-in-laws. Burial followed at the Hampton Cemetery, Jeremiah. Hindman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Clivan Caudill, Jr. Clivan Caudill, Jr., age 31, of Hollybush, Ky., died Jan. 4, 1984 at National Mines, Mine No. 7, Raven, of injuries received in an accident. He was born Sept. 2, 1952, the son of Clivan and Jane Slone Caudill. He was a minister in the Hollybush Regular Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clivan Caudill of Hollybush; his wife, Kathy Caudill; two sons, Stacy Brent, age eight, Clivan III, age five, one daughter, Stephanie Lynn, age 10; three brothers, Denzil Caudill of Pippa Passes, Don Ray Caudill of Dema, and Larry Asa Caudill of Hollybush, six sisters, Betty Hoover of Garrett, Vonda King of Kite, Geraldine Conley of Hollybush, Maxine Hall of Topmost, Thelma Caudill of Wayland and Kathy Caudill, also of Wayland. Funeral services were held in the Hollybush Regular Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. with Burton Howard, Burton Ratliff, Bill Moore, and Clinton Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Clivan Caudill Family Cemetery, Hollybush. The Hindman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. McKinley Caudill McKinley (Buster) Caudill, 57, of Topmost, Ky., died Tuesday, April 10, 1984, at his home, after a short illness. Buster was born Nov. 17, 1926, a son of the late Neal and Mary Jane Hall Caudill. He is survived by his wife, Lizzie Caudill of Topmost; two sons, Ralph of Topmost and Tommy of Kite; two daughters, Kathy Thornsberry of Topmost and Lynnette Greene of Emma; four sisters, Rosetta Hall, Vinetta Hall, and Tana Osborne, all of Topmost, and Hester Stambaugh of Paintsville; and six granddaughters. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, at the Providence Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial followed at the Joe Hall Cemetery, Topmost. The Knott Funeral Home of Hindman was in charge of arrangements. Manerva Caudill Manerva Caudill, age 69, of Fisty, Ky., died Oct. 25, 1984 at home. She was born August 30, 1915, the daughter of Alonzo Ritchie and Katie Collins. She is survived by five sons, Linden of Clear Creek, Andrew of Dwarf, Donald Wayne of Dwarf, Alonzo of Lotts Creek, Gordon of Lotts Creek; five daughters, Katie Lee Mullins of Lotts Creek, Georgia Young of Allais, Alaine Owens of Clear Creek, Mary Lou Patrick of Carrie; two brothers, Lawrence Ritchie of Clear Creek, Cullen Ritchie of Clear Creek; one sister, Elvira Combs of Lotts Creek; 32 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, at the Providence Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial followed at the Joe Hall Cemetery, Topmost.
