The funeral was conducted Thursday, Dec. 26, at 1 p.m. at the Clear Creek Old Regular Baptist Church at Fisty with Silas Williams and others officiating. Burial followed in the Creech Family Cemetery. William (Earl) Cornett William (Earl) Cornett, age 68, of Sassafras, Ky., died Jan. 4 at Hazard Nursing Home, Hazard. He was born Dec. 12, 1916, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army World War II.
