My name is Walter, Married to a girl from Harlan County, (Rosspoint-Baxter), researching her Family Line (Osborne-Ellis-Sergent-Howard-Noe-Burkhart). Brickwall--Preston Burkhart? Rev. War Vet, supposed to be buried in Military Cemetery somewhere in Ky. Need help on all Family Lines, willing to share anything that I have. Walter.
Howard, Hall, King (Edward Sanders line), Lewis, Nolan, Noe, Brock, Blanton, Farmer, and aligned families. My brick wall is John N. Howard md. Charlotte Lewis. Family lore says he was a doctor (M.D.) about the time of the Civil War. Can't find any documentation, although others have heard the same. His son Samuel (md Sallie King) is usually listed as md to Ellafair Ratliff (with various spelling variations). I very respectfully disagree, due to familially stories etc. The Howards, as a lot of families, were not very orignial in their naming of children. My grandmother (Lottie Jospehine Howard md, Andrew Milburn Hall)was the lone survivor of their (Sam and Sallie) union until her death into her 80s. I have quite a bit of info on the Blantons and am very willing to share what I have. Susan Nolan (my great grandmother) seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth after the death of her husband, Chad Hall. My mother's memory has her connected with a McKnight and a Miniard. Any information about Susan would be most appreciated too, my middle name is Susan, after her. Thank you, Linda Blando
