I have a death certificate for Sallie Middleton that states: Sallie Middleton born August 10, 1841, died Oct. 2, 1919. 78 years. Mother Sucie Sergent. Father James Turner. Informent Lige Middleton Baxter ky. Sallie Middleton was married to Benjamin Middleton born 1827, died July 16, 1911, the son of Walter Middleton and Sally Turner Middleton. There children were: David, Ransom, James, William, Calvin, Fannie, lucy, and Elijah. All records that I have explored state that Sallie was a Blevins, daughter of James T. Blevins. So, was she a daughter of Blevins or James Turner? Who is Susie Sergent listed as Mother? Could Sallie Blevins Middleton actually be a Turner that first married a Blevins, and then married Benjamin Middleton?
