    1. Collet/Collett & Saylor/Salyers in Harlan
    2. Aneschke Smith
    3. Elva, and all you COLLETTs and SAYLORs: In the Harlan Co. Marriage Book, I see my g-grandparents, Samuel COLLETT and Patsy (Martha) Fultz. Just above, I see "A.B.COLLET married Addie Blanton; performed by N.H. Noe, M.G. 28 Jan 1895; location Henry Blantons; witnessed by Wilson B. Saylor; page 134/135; line 19." Do any of you know if A.B. COLLET's surname is misspelled? I am guessing that he is a "COLLETT" and is related to Samuel. Does anyone know? A.B. COLLETT is very interesting to me for two reasons: 1. He may be related to my Samuel. 2. His marriage was witnessed by Wilson B. SAYLOR. "Saylor" is probably a misspelling of "SALYERS" (my maiden name). My grandmother, Ruth Ann COLLETT, married Everett SALYERS. It looks like the Colletts and Salyers may have been good friends. I know many of my SALYERS lived in Grant Co., KY., but they migrated from VA. I'm wondering if they came to Grant Co. via Harlan Co. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
