The 1900Harlan Co Census shows: in HH 307Boyd King and HH308 Chockley King one would assume he was son of Chockley by this Census but the Page before had a lot of Kings on it also HH 307 Boyd King b- May 1874 in own HH with Wife Lavinia md 6 yrs and two children one son Daniel and daug age 3 can't make out her name Boyd shows father born in Ky HH 308 Lists Chockley King b- Jan 1837 in NC 63 yrs & Wife Kezzie Notice Chockley born in NC where as Boyd King 's father born in Ky I can't find Chockley King on the 1910 Harlan Co Ky Census index so he must be deceased ...but did find Boyd King & wife Lavina md 16 years she had 5 children 4 living and believe the daug age 3 shown on the 1900 Census must have died and I can't make out her name but these children only are listed 1910 Harlan Co Ky Cen they show Boyd living on Yocum and Clover Frk RD I have the 1880 Census for all state and could not find Boyd on it he would have been age 6 or 7 nor could I find Chockley where on earth were they? I also have the 1880 Cen for Harlan Co Ky and they are not on it..... but the 1880 Census in Harlan co Ky had a lot of missing names on it.. some say it was due to the fear of The Gangs that ruled there... I did find on the 1870 Census Chockley King age 37 and Kesiah age 23 one child Henry age 8 months You sure would need Boyd's Death Cert to prove up who his parents were or his marriage License..since the Pension paper do not list him as a child..
