I have gotten an email from another source, with info which I believe is indirectly from Sue Ann Morrow (who apparently collects info on various Kentucky families including the Sextons and the Middletons), giving a different answer, which is that the 1873 William T is the son of the 1852 William T and Mary Madden. I am skeptical of that because I found a record saying that William T and Mary Madden did not marry until 1874. If your family records have any information on 1852 William T, Mary Madden and their offspring, that will clarify this issue, and probably disprove this alternative parentage. Much appreciation, in any case
