Leander was born circa 1831/32 in TN; Mary "may" be a second wife to James ... not sure. She was born circa 1831/32 as well. Leander and Mary are found in the 1870 Campbell Co., TN census with James and his siblings (Cyntha; John; and William). I have quite a bit of information on William because they lived in Newcomb (near Jellico) and their family was very close with my dad's family. Cyntha married in 1871 in Campbell Co., TN to a William IVEY. As the IVEY line is quite difficult to track because there were SO MANY OF THEM, I'm not sure if this William is any relation to my Sarah Elizabeth IVEY or not. Her parents were William Riley Taylor and Nancy Lundy.My father who is now 86 said that his aunt-as he referred to her , was called Sarie/Saree and married a Jim or James Miracle.I can not off hand remember where the middle initial of (C )came from for the James and I have his estimated birth year of 1856.It may be earlier or later than that.You mention Wilder. This could be the same person as I do not know if she may have married a Wilder, but as the rest of this clan, she may have been married once or twiced before she married the Miracle gentelman. She was 95 when she died at Knox County General Hospital in Barbourville, KY. At that time, she was a widow of Martin V. Baker. Funeral services were held at the Pine Mountain Church of God at Bledsoe. Burial took place in the Kermit Creech Cemetery in Bledsoe. The obituary was dated May 3, 1989 in the HARLAN DAILY ENTERPRISE. It stated she died "Monday", so whatever that date might have been in 1989. You are also correct that he passed away May 6, 1938 in LeJunior, Harlan Co., KY. You are the first one that I've known to have an actual birth date; however. The 1900 Campbell Co., TN census lists his birth year as October 1883; his death certificate indicates August 28, 1887, as you listed. So that's what I've found for sure.
