She had sisters Martha Melzoni died in either FL or Harlan Co,Mary Fiorini died in Fresno CA,Sarah Fiorini also died in CA,Maggie Smith died in I believe Hamilton Co OH. I checked with Ancestry.com.and saw my Chadwick's in Laurel Co KY abt 1910 with Maudie the youngest.I believe that they lived in Straight Creek Bell Co when Maudie's father John Chadwick died in 1917,and then Manerva,Thomas,Rufus,William,and Maudie was in Coxton/Ages Harlan co as of 1920. That coincides with the age listed on the 1920 census for her. So she was born in 1914. From something I found (not sure what, as I didn't note it), I have her birth date as July 10, 1914. As for her marriage to Walter Nantz, I have a copy of the license and they were married March 17, 1929 ... two days after obtaining the license. Georgia's mother (John Brock's first wife) was Lillie Apple. She was born circa 1893/94 and died on June 19, 1917, in Clairfield, Claiborne Co., TN. The reason I know this for sure is two-fold: 1) Birth Certificate for John S. BROCK (Springer) is to John BROCK and Maudie CHADWICK. 2) Georgia "Cissy" Nantz was one of Maudie's step-daughters listed in Julia's obit ... Georgia was John BROCK's daughter born to him and his first wife. So the obit I sent you is definitely the one who married John BROCK and was the mother of Springer BROCK. I'm not sure about her birth year, since she's definitely not in my line. I'll try to look at censuses I have and see what age is listed for her there ... although that wasn't always very accurate. Really WEIRD with the same dod! How odd!!! Elsie was actually Taylor's SECOND wife. Taylor and his first wife, Edna Mae McCAFFEE were married abt 1914 and had three children: Ellen; Arthur Bill; and Martha Catherine. Edna died May 9, 1921 in Tinsley, Bell Co., KY. If I remember correctly, it was in Bell Co., KY census where I found Roland BROCK at around age 6. I think it was the 1930 census ... need to find those notes! Taylor & Elsie were married and had three children: Mossie and Manerva (twins); and Andrew Taylor (A.T.) Brock, Jr. Don't know anything more about Elsie ~ other than she remarried and I have a photo of her with some of her "new" family in an album I have put together. I have 325 BROCK family photos in three albums! Of course, censuses prior to 1850 listed only head of household; so, at this point, I have no father's name to track back further. I'm really stuck!!! As for the KY connection, John and another brother of his (Andrew "Taylor") were the two that moved from Jellico to Harlan for working in the coal mines. Taylor was shot in Harlan, KY in December 1925. I have a photo of Taylor's wife (Elsie) with a "Roland" Brock. He looks like my grandpa like crazy ... there is a Roland Brock with a family in KY. But I haven't really had time to do much research on that line. I've moved my office and rearranged my files so many times that I'm not even sure where my notes are on this. If I can find that, I'll certainly let you know. Maybe we can put our heads together and find the connection!
