JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON JACK DISNEY FROM THE HAMILTON (OH) JOURNAL-NEWS 2/14/09 Jackie "Jack" Harold Disney born on May 19, 1933 in Benham, KY went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Oscar and Vivian Disney. He graduated from Benham High School in 1951 where he enjoyed playing football for the Benham Tigers. Jack married Tevis du Bois on February 10, 1996 after finding each other at their high school class reunion in November 1995. All of the class of 1951 were close friends and they soon realized they were soul mates destined to spend their life together sharing these last thirteen years in marriage. Jack was a founder at the Avon Springdale plant where he was known for his strong work ethic among his many friends and coworkers. He retired after 33 years of service. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching his hometown teams the Kentucky Wildcats and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also cherished annual trips to his childhood home in Benham, KY with his loving wife Tevis. Jack was a family ! man who devoted his life to loving and caring for his entire family. He touched many lives with his soft-spoken demeanor and caring, tender heart. Jack leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Tevis, his children LaJuana (Bruce) Brooks, Robin (Ron) da Silva, Jeffrey (Terry) Disney, Elizabeth (Ahmed) Zeine, and William Disney as well as his stepchildren, Jeanette (James) dubois-Sector, and Michelle (David) Rehorka. He leaves behind his 14 grandchildren, Jackie, Robert, Sueann, Cheryl, Brianna, Addison, Carissa, Reilly, Judah, Jameson, Tyler, Jessica, Alec, Abby and Bryanna. He also leaves his 4 step-grandchildren, Jessica, Alex, Kelly, Devon, Adrien and Andy. He also had 15 great grandchildren as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. His brother Oscar Jr. (Sue) Disney, his sisters Margaret Cornett, Mary (Robert) Rainey, and Doris (Troy) Creech survives him. He was preceded in death by his first wife Anna Doyle Robinson, and an infant son Dickie, his s! isters Mildred Perkins and Lois Irene Disney, and his brother-in-laws James Perkins and Corbin Cornett. JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON HOWARD METCALFE FROM THE HAMILTON (OH) JOURNAL-NEWS 2/14/09 Howard B. Metcalfe, 86, of Mansfield, OH died February 9, 2009 at Triumph Hospital in Mansfield. Born February 6, 1923 in Harlan County, KY, he was the son of Brutus and Nancy Belle (Lewis) Metcalfe. A highly decorated war veteran, Howard served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He entered the Marine Corps on July 4, 1942, trained at Parris Island, and served in WWII. After basic training he worked on mastering high speed Morse code. He later became a member of the 2nd Marine Raiders. After his tour of duty with the military, he returned home and attended the University of Kentucky, receiving a Bachelors Degree in 1948. Howard then earned several Masters Degrees from Miami University of Ohio in 1970. He retired as a teacher of languages and head librarian for Fairfield High School. Howard enjoyed several projects such as Political Action Committee, United Way, Blood Bank, and friend of education. He was a long time resident of Hamilton, OH and moved to Mansfield in the last five yea! rs to be close to family. Howard was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church in Fairfield. He was a very giving and benevolent man. He is survived by two nieces, Judy King Snyder of Bellville, OH and Debbie Weisbrodt-Melko of Miamisburg, OH; four nephews, Eric Snyder, Jim Melko, Charles King, and Bruce King; three great-nieces, Ariel King, Erica Melko, and Meredith Snyder; four great-nephews, Michael Melko, Lee Snyder, Bryan King, and Michael King; and sister, Faye Weisbrodt. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Neil Weisbrodt; and sister, Frances King. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail, will be held at 10:30 a.m. February 16, 2009 at Oak Grove Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Henry Parker. Hensley is the Mother of my Grandfather Gerald Hensley of Shelburn, IN and his father and her husband was named Grover Hensley. I don't have any info on him. He may have had more than one marriage but he had several children with Mabel including Gerald, Robert Lee, Joyce, June and Marilyn.
