Recently, Dr Jeff Woods loaned us a rare copy of Wm & Sally Dixon Creech's small book about their life on Poor Fork/Cumberland and the establishment of Pine Mountain Settlement School. It is a real treasure! So many of our Bell Co families have Harlan Co connections. The Howards, Baileys, Eagers, Rices, Halls, Brocks, Arnetts, Hoskinses, and other families have lived in both Harlan and Bell Counties for two hundred years.
