I think our William H. Nichols is the one who was listed in Knox County death records. I'm trying to get a copy. Charity,and other children listed are Hensleys. Steve Nichols was from Sarah's second marriage to William Nichols. They also had two girls Louise Nichols and Lydia Nichols. This I know for sure Steve Nichols born 9-30-1912. He died 9-17-1996 in Clark County Ind. His wife was Daisy Mitchell born 9-25-1996 in Cawood Harlan Co. Steve worked in the coal mines in Harlan Co. Daisy's father was Will Mitchell and her mother was Mary Jane Thomas. Thats about all I know right now. Again thanks for getting back with me.

Do it by responding to your own query so that it all stays together. Find out from your sister-in-law when Steve NICHOLS was born and possibly where he lived and when he died and where. Same type of info for the wife, Daisy MITCHELL. As your query is written it becomes very difficult to even attempt to establish any type of timeline to know where to begin to help you. It will become a lot easier when we know something about Steve NICHOLS in order to pin down William NICHOLS. And, are you saying that the siblings of Steve NICHOLS were the children, Charity, Spart, Lindy, etc. etc.?? The MILLS family is part of my family and they are HUGE and all over Knox co., KY. If there is one Nancy MILLS out there, there are at least 100 of them. NICHOLS, MILLS, MITCHELL are also in Bell Co. as well as Knox Co. You should make a postings in those Message Boards also. I have been researching the Children of David Blevins & Margaret "Farley". My Alifaire was born 1878, she married John Owens, had a child Henry (of which I can find nothing), and then she married Smuel Middleton and had a son Zion. Alifair died in Lee County, VA. Ellie was born after 1910 and married a Mr Holoskey,and then I believe she married 1-2 more times and has several children. Susan Blevins married G.W. Midleton and then went on to marry Ben Middleton- she never had any children. If you would share the census record on Alifaire and the info you have on the other children I would really appreciate it. I have searched on this family for probably 10 years and have come up with a lot of info from records and talking to people who knew them. You can contact me directly if you wish. Thanks

I have gotten an email from another source, with info which I believe is indirectly from Sue Ann Morrow (who apparently collects info on various Kentucky families including the Sextons and the Middletons), giving a different answer, which is that the 1873 William T is the son of the 1852 William T and Mary Madden. I am skeptical of that because I found a record saying that William T and Mary Madden did not marry until 1874. If your family records have any information on 1852 William T, Mary Madden and their offspring, that will clarify this issue, and probably disprove this alternative parentage. Hi all Two of us are researching out the Rebecca b- 1867 that married abt 1886 John Pace I show she was Rebecca Fields d/o John Fields and Elisa Harris but did not note where I got info This John Pace and Rebecca ?? had daug Easter born in 1896 but one Lady named A____ Howard claims she was 1st Cousin to Easter Pace (I left off the first name of Howard Lady as maybe living altho doubtful.. Indeed it was Edith and not Emily that I meant, who married a Sexton. My friend is a great granddaughter of Edith Middleton through her son Elmo Sexton. Do you have any information on this William T's parents? It seems likely that he is a grandson of the William T murdered in 1872 by Devil Jim Turner, but there are 4 or 5 different sons of the elder William T that could have been his father (and I think the elder William T could also have been the father himself, since his death was only a couple months before the birth of the younger)
