I have been searching fruitlessly for a date of marriage for this couple. They actually lived in Whitley Co., KY but I have looked both there and in Campbell Co., TN with no luck. Both Nellie Adkins/Atkins and William Reed are known to have had ties to Harlan Co. as well. So I am now wondering if that might have been the place. The time frame should be between 1910 - 1915. Would anyone be able to look this up for me? Thanks so much in advance! __________________________________ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.yahoo.com

My middle name is Susan after Sudie. My mother says that Chad was a real ladies' man; he'd sing and they couldn't resist him. He died after being shot, according to Pierce in his book, the name of which escapes me at this minute. According to my mom, Sudie (Susan Nolan Hall) had a real hard time after he died. The history channel has a show about the "wars" of SE KY. Chad is mentioned a lot in it. Again, I'm drawing a blank on the title. Anyway, cuz, I'll try to stay in touch and when I have the info at my fingertips, I'll give you more specifics. -Linda

Who would want to carry around all these names???? She went by Sarah and Manerva. Her mother was Mary Pace. She lived with her grandparents Daniel Pace and Manerva Fields Pace. I messed up on the Hensley family. They were Steve Nichols step brothers and sisters. Maybe you can help me with that family. I thought their father was Joseph. This family has given me a headache. If it wasn't for all the help that everyone has provided I think I might be bald by now. Hope this makes sense. Glenna

I was glad to get the info on Onie Gibson and family. Since then I have found out that Onie passed away in March of 1970. His last known place of residence was Indianapolis, IN. I recently came across some info that his son, Onie E. Gibson, is living in Greenwood, IN. If this is true, he must have an unlisted telephone number. I seem to be at a dead end street. I have some info on the father of Onie Sr. and believe his mother was Mary Francis "Fannie" Dozier Gibson. However, I'm having trouble finding much needed info. I'm hoping to locate that relative that can provide the missing link.

This means that the information given on here could be totally erroneous. But having said that, we also have to consider the possibilty that the information given on here was absolutely correct. I don't think anyone would have given out the wrong information intentionally. Using logic, It would appear that Lige Middleton Baxter would have been a sister-in-law or a daughter to your Sallie. A sister-in-law might get the information wrong. But a daughters information should be accurate. So there are many, many possibilities about this James Turner and James T. Blevins. Could James T. Blevins be James Turner Blevins ? We could say yes. That it would be a possibility if a step-parent was involved in his up-bringing. I wish I could have given you a better and more direct answer. But unfortunately, your question is about as broad as it is long. Sorry. TJ

The microfilm contained Criminal Order Books that had an index to the prisioners housed in the State Penitientiary. Depending on the county, there was varied information found about the dates of the criminal act, sometimes containing depositions about the crime, who was present, who witnesses were, and fees for witnesses. My contact there was Lisa Thompson, although I have found that any of the staff is well-versed in what criminal records are available. Lisa responds well to email - I have received a lot of valuable info from the staff.
