It "could" be there is something that was reconstructed but I would not know about that. If you are absolutely adamant about finding out, then you probably are going to have to spend $27 to get his Soc. Sec. Application from the SS Administration. It will provide his parents' names and he would have had to provide some proof of other letters supporting his claim. I previously gave you that information from the SSDI. Since he is listed as a nephew of William E. GIBSON and wife, Eliza DOZIER on the 1910 Knox Co., KY Fed. Census, would could make the assumption that Onie, age 14, at that point was either the son of William E. GIBSON's brother or unmarried sister. A brother, Madison, 48 and a widow is listed with him on that census, along with Thomas DOZIER, his father-in-law. In the next dwelling is a Floid GIBSON with wife, Sudie and children. In the 1900 Knox, William and Eliza are married 6 years with no children. On the 1910, William E. and Eliza have been married 15 years and it states she has had no children. However, an Ethel, a niece, age 3 is living with them. Here is their marriage record: Knox Co. Marriage Book V Page 273 June 5, 1894 Wm. GIBSON, age 19 Res: Knox Co.; Born: ____ lst marriage; occup: farmer Fa: Wm. GIBSON, dead Mo.: Nancy GIBSON, living to: Eliza DOZIER, age 16 Res: Knox Co.; born: Knox Co. lst marriage Fat: Thos. PEAVELY , bondsman NOTE: If William and Nancy are his parents, then I do not understand the 1880 Knox Co. Fed. census below. And, I don't understand the Madison GIBSON in William's household as of the 1910. As you move backwards to the 1880 Knox Co., it "appears" to be that this is William 's parents: Dwelling 48-48 GIBSON, Henry, 26, b. TN; parents b. TN . .Mary A., 21, b. TN; parents b. TN . However, I have the birth record for Onie E. It's the birth record for Onie Gibson, his father that I really need. Onie Sr. was born Jan. 31, 1905. I don't know the county, but could not find anything in Knox Co. If this record can be found, it will settle the question about his parents. Larry

Gibson's widow, Ruth Ann, did tell me he has been gone 15 years. However, I failed to get the date of death. I was finding out how to contact Gloria Jean, etc. Ruth Ann told me several things about the family also. Now, if I could only find the birth record for Onie Sr. Gloria Jean wasn't able to tell me much. We know that he was raised by his Uncle Willie and Aunt Eliza Dozier Gibson. Gloria Jean has fond memories of Uncle Willie. He was a special man and I remember him also. Onie's mother died as a young woman and Onie was not old enough to remember her. I believe his mother was Mary Francis "Fannie" Dozier Gibson and his father was James Madison "Matt" Gibson. This would have made Onie the double first cousin of my paternal grandmother. I believe I was told many years ago that they were double first cousins.
What John Napier do you need? I have 9 different John Napier's in files. Can you tell us some approximate dates?---Janette In a message dated 10/21/05 7:46:53 AM Eastern Daylight Time, sheree606@alltel.net writes: > I am told that he is buried in Cawood but what grave yard? > > Sherry > >

Onie E. was married to a woman named Ruth Ann. He passed away 15 years ago. I did talk with Ruth Ann....a pleasant lady...don't know her maiden name. Onie Sr. passed away in Indianapolis, IN, on March 13, 1970. Both he and Ruby are interred in Washington Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. I don't have Ruby's date of death at this time. However, I believe she lived for several years after Onie Sr. passed away. I hope to be in touch with Gloria Jean and should be getting more info.
