According to my mom, who has alot of the info in her own memories of what she was told growing up, and of course knowing alot of her Blanton relatives. Jane, (her grandmother) William S. Blanton's Jr.'s wife was a Jones., his father William was married to Nancy Slusher. which I found on a census record. My mom is the only living child of Jesse and Emily Blanton. My grandfather was married to Rachel Farmer on 3/21/1890 I did find their marriage record. Millar Farmer was his brother in law. Your advised to purchase software is absolutely correct! This gets very confusing. Everyone had at least 1/2 a dozen children, everyone continues "family names" etc. Anyway, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the information you have provided. My mother is 85 and as sharp as a 20 year old! however she is loosing her sight. she loves to hear anything I have come across. The very best to you! 1. SAYLOR/SALYERS
    2. Aneschke Smith
    3. Hi. Are any of you SAYLOR folks part of the SALYERS clan? SAYLOR is often a misspelling or accidental poor transcription of SALYER/SALYERS (original spelling of Salyers was the French "Saliers or Salliers")? I am NOT a descendant of Zachariah, that I know of. I have been able to trace my SALYERS back to Grant Co and that region of KY to about 1790. The courthouse in Lexington burned in 1800, so I have not been able to go back any further. However, a cousin who was a genealogist, thinks that our line originally came from VA. As they migrated west, they may have stayed a while in Harlan Co. Thanks. Karlene Salyers __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about. It would possibley give the parents names and tell if Rachel had previously been married or not.--Janette Nolan

She married Wilson Sherman Browning 29, November 1894 and they had 12 children. In 1920 Harlan Co. Census she was living next door to William Blanton 75 yr. wid. with Jesse Blanton as head of household. Was William her father and Jesse her brother? Wilson Sherman Browning's first wife was Nancy Jane Pace and they had 2 children. Any information will be appreciated. Carleene Roe

It was why I said that I have no proof and that this was others' research. So many times you see this stuff posted on Ancestry.com and other places like that and LDS and there isn't an ounce of truth to it. More and more I an hesitant to pass on anything except raw census data or a marriage and a person can even be wrong on that. Because it is written doesn't make it so. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
