I don't know anything at all about the Morris family, and very little about the Foutch/Akemon side. I know that there are several ways that Akemon is spelled. My great grandmother was Vesta Akemon and my great grandfather was Alex or Alec Foutch. If anyone knows anything about any of the histories of these families I'd appreciate you contacting me. I am especially interested in the Morris side, Melvin again, was my dad's dad. I know that Melvin has a sister named Zelma, and I think a brother named Bill, but Melvin himself died in January 1987 and is buried in the willowview cemetary in Dayton Ohio, and I have no other info on this family. My father was raised by his step father, Orville Myers who died in 2002 and is buried in the same cemetary as Melvin. I know that my dad grew up in what he called "Foutch Holler"! and was friend with the Lloyd family, Stewart family and Holcomb family please help me if you can. Sincerely, Lisa Morris-Fitch

We visited the cemetery in Nov. 2004. I took pix if you'd like to see them -- email me and I'll send them to you. They are my ggggg-grandparents. Apparently, both Chloe and Samuel were originally buried at Highbanks Cemetery (near or in Baxter) but were moved to Wix Howard -- I think when they built the new road through there. There is a foot-stone for each of them that has their name, dates, and ""Highbanks Cemetery"" on it, in addition to their headstones. And, www.findagrave.com is a good source of info and pictures. I plan to put my pix of Chloe and Samuel's graves on that site when I get a few minutes to do it. Marcia Baker White

Cornett is my great-grandfather. I have a copy of a newspaper article with no date, and a copy of the re-election notice you described. That is about all the information I have on him. I have not been able to find much information about him at all and do not even know where he is buried. His wife, my great-grandmother, was Bessie Hall. She moved to Pennington Gap and that is where she lived out the rest of her years. You are researching Hall, Cornett families. Are we related?

Several years ago a list member wrote that my ggg-grandfather, Jeremiah BREWER (b. 1800 VA d. aft. 1880 Harlan Co., KY), was first married to a FARLEY/FARLER. Would anyone on this list now know her first name? Or better yet, does anyone have a source for this bit of information? I am corresponding with a cousin who descends from Jeremiah's first marriage and would love to find her name. Corinne
