Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3AB.2ACI/6964.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hello, On the KDI, I see: Eliza RAPIER died in Harlan Co., KY on 7-5-1934; Vol. 040, Cert 19675, age: 36; recorded in 1934. You would be able to order that death certificate for a cost of one dollar plus a self-addressed envelope. It may state which cemetery she is in or who handled her services that would give you a clue as to where she was buried. Go to: http://www.usgenweb.org/ Click on "Kentucky". Scroll down that page until you get to "Vital Statistics". Scroll down again until you see the names of the different people who will copy that death cert and send it to you. Chester WARD is the person I have used in the past but there are others. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3AB.2ACI/6964.1 Message Board Post: Hello, Is the "real" question that you are looking for a specific person who died in 1934 and you do not know where to look for them or have not located them? If so, have you tried to locate them anywhere within the State of KY on the KDI? If you have not looked for them on the KDI or don't know how to seek out that information for yourself, then post the name of the person on line as a response to your original query giving their approx. age when they would have expired. Perhaps someone will be able to help you out. I don't think there would be any one answer otherwise to your question. Over the years, a number of my ancestors died from complications of tuberculosis. This would have been in Knox, Bell and Harlan Co.'s. I am not aware of any of them spending time in a sanitorium although they may have. I am thinking there was such a facility at Lexington, KY, Fayette Co. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA
