I see a Claudette, Cristopal T. and a Michael P. all born in the 1940's in Harlan Co., KY. I don't think we are suppose to list publicly specific birth dates after 1930 on line. However, write to me and I will give you the information listed on the KBI records CDs I have. With regard to Shirley BALL, I found a William T. RIDENOUR born in the late 1940's to her. 1. [KYHARLAN] Jacksons of Harlan County
    2. Sheila Brown
    3. Hi! I am seeking any leads to information on a Elizabeth Jackson that is listed as head of the household in the 1850 Harlan Co Census. 1850 Harlan County, Ky Elizabeth Jackson Head age 32 James age 12 Melissa age 10 Rebecca age 9 Jasper age 7 Mary age 5 Cynthia age 3 I believe that the James listed here is my James born February 1832 and died February 23, 1915. James Jackson first known marriage is to Nancy Selvage. During this time he also fathered several children with Sarah Coley. After Nancy's death he married Sarah and after Sarah died he married Mary Reeves and fathered more children. Marriages took place in Carter Co. Ky. One record states that his parents are Wm Marquel and Bessie Jackson.. another lists farther as Mericle and Bestsy Jackson... Others just have his mother listed. ACCORDING to James's CIVIL WAR RECORDS states that his grandfather brought him from Va to Harlan County when he was abt 12 years of age. He mentions that he stayed with a Uncle named Gabriel. He also mentions "KINFOLK" by the name of Joe Salyers. An Important but confusing thing that he mentions is his brother JASPER.. (listed in the census above and also lived in Carter County for a time period)... BUT .. in Jaspers deposition he calls James his Half-Brother. .. So.. I got a copy of Jaspers death record which lists his father as "Abner Jackson" but no mothers name! I have lots more documented information and I am more than glad to share. I am just in great hopes someone can help me figure out who this Elizabeth is.. and who her parents are... and if anyone knows anything abt an Abner Jackson. I will share more info as I continue on.. Thanks So Much in Advance for giving me your time...

He appears in the 1850 census in Harlan Co. KY in the household of Stephen & Joicy Napier Lee. (D.C.) in the early 1800s on a court document, and am trying to determine the begin and end dates of his service as same. Apparently there are two John Noe's, father and son, with their being born c1760 and c1793 respectively. I found a list of sheriffs of Harlan Co. on the Genweb site, but cannot find a list of court clerks of either the county or circuit courts.
