I sent you the 1910, 1920, Campbell County, TN census images and 1930 MI where Tipton went up to MI to work. I sent you Donald Tiptons Death certificate which has his parents as Grover Tipton and Fannie Rutherford so you have that correct. Will see if I can find Bettie and Wiley back further. I am not sure why they are listed as Willis and Annie in 1910. Debbie So glad you are going and doing your own research .. when we help takes some of thrill away from you.. its a wonderful feeling to find your family on Census..or a marriage .... I strongly Feel when you get the Family History Center you may find a lot of info in there to help you... or you can order film like the Marriages in Campbell Co Tn, as you said some of Family said Henrietta Etta Turner-Powers might have married there ..even tho she died in Harlan Co Ky and no one has Campbell Co Tn Marriages on line not even Ancestry.com ... also Keep in Mind that Henrietta Etta Death Cert says she was born in Tn in 1902 after the 1900 Census and I think her parents split up before 1910 Census so that hurts Good Luck in your FHC research ... I am starting to feel frustrated with my search.. so at least for today i think i will put Mandy and James Turner on hold and hope that later with a new day i will stumble onto something more...in doing so i will ask if anyone sees any census reports for the name Tipton in the late 20s maybe 30s. Parents would be Grover and Fannie Tipton. Both came from Tenn. originally, but I knew them when they lived in Harlan area. I think. they referred to the area as Brittons Creek. These people are my grandparents on my fathers side. I do know some family on this side and have some info. They had 10 or 12 kids, Grover was in WW1 and a coal miner.Fannie had babies and was a homemaker. My father was Eugene Tipton, i think third in line of the kids . Fannie and Grover along with my father and several siblings have died. The ones left are up there in years. I know Fannies maiden name was Rutherford, i know Grover was from Greene Co, Tenn and his parents were Bettie and Wiley Tipton. Anyone up for a new game and search ? The only James Turner I found about that age that wasn't married was a James H. Turner living as a boarder in the houshold of William C. Turner born 1869 and Celia Creech born 1870 in Harlan County, They had three little girls and a servant named Gilla Dean and this boarder James H. Turner. I found a death certificate for a James H. Turner in Harlan County. He was a miner born 6 Jun 1876 died in 14 Mar 1951 so he could be the same one. I would be willing to send these two documents if you think they are the right James Turner .His parents were Joe Turner and Mary Smith and I don't have these Turners in my files. The informant was Mrs. Delora Turner either his wife or daughter.
