That can't be him. I remember now in 1920 Grover was living with his mother Bettie and Fannie was also living there and no children yet. Heritage Quest is a genealogy site that you have to pay to subscribe to, but many public libraries subscribe to it and you can use it by going to the library or sometimes you can use it from home by accessing your public library card, clicking on Reference Dept. and then on Heritage Quest and then put your card number in. It has Census images, old books, PERSI, Rev. War pension papers, etc. Another thing that I want to mention here is that you can use Ancestry.comat most public libraries on their computers free. I see people at our library using it a lot. Also libraries can borrow census records and old books from other libraries through their inter-library lending programs. Our library here in St. Joseph, MO has all of our old newspapers on microfiche and lots of old books with information in them to use while you are there. Debbie, that is a good suggestion. I can use Heritage Quest from home through my public library and my card is my password. You could ask your library if they have it. Another good free site is www.myheritage.com. They have free stuff and things that are not free. www.gencircles.com is a good site to look for other people working on the same families as you are and www.rootsweb.com is a very good free site with a lot of archives and it does have search engines. I strongly Feel when you get the Family History Center you may find a lot of info in there to help you... or you can order film like the Marriages in Campbell Co Tn, as you said some of Family said Henrietta Etta Turner-Powers might have married there ..even tho she died in Harlan Co Ky and no one has Campbell Co Tn Marriages on line not even Ancestry.com ... also Keep in Mind that Henrietta Etta Death Cert says she was born in Tn in 1902 after the 1900 Census and I think her parents split up before 1910 Census so that hurts Good Luck in your FHC research ... You won't be sorry Darlene you have been a big influence on me during this...i look forward to the day i can help someone else deb **************Start the year off right. Jerry, I used Harlan Connections by Frances Y. Dunham which relied on all kinds of records. I also used book Howards of Southeastern, KY by the same author. I used the birth and death records of Harlan County, KY and Lewis County, WA. I used the census records, military draft cards, family files, family history of Robert Turner in Seattle, WA. I can send you a file with all of the documentation cited in the genealogy report if you would like.
