Walter, That is so true. I corrected that mistake. I wondered why William, David and Mary Turner were listed in Harlan Connections and didn't have their parents listed. I will just be more careful who I help from now on. Debbie, If they don't have his birth record in Ancestry.com he might not have been recorded. He must have used something to get into the service though. What happened to his papers when he died? Hi, I had some errors in the Turners I posted. David B. Turner, William Turner and Mary Turner may not be the children of William E. Turner born 1770 and Susannah Bailey. Also that was an error that has stepchild after David B. Turner. Also I am not sure where I got the initial B. on his name so I would just remove that if I were you. I am hestitant to help people because I know I have errors in my files so am going to be more careful from now on and share a lot less. Sorry for the confusion. Barbara
