WIGGINGTON (and a variety of spellings) and your Hettie/Hattie, I wanted you to know that in addition to the 1930 Harlan Co. census where John states he was born in NC, on the 1920 he is also on the Harlan Co. census, dwelling 8-8 with Mittie; states he was born in TN. As of the 1910 he is still with Mittie and they are at Proctor Prec., Whitley Co., KY. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. John C. Wiginton may have been her brother. If I am following marriage records correctly, she married a John Hood in 1905. She may have also had an earlier marriage to a Logston. Then in 1911 she married Julian Reed. I think I found her in the 1880 census with her parents. I have her and Julian in 1920. But I cannot find her at all (under Wiginton, Logston or Hood) in 1900 or 1910. And after 1920, both she and Julian Reed disappear completely. Since Roger Hood and John Wiginton live so close together in 1930, I thought they might share Hattie/Hettie as a connection and that I might be able to better track her if I could discover that connection. I've not seen a marriage record. Don't know the fathers of all her children. I have been researching her daughter Martha Miracle's family. Jasper has been shown with various last names: 1860 Jasper Miracle, age 8 mo. 1870 Jasper Osborne, age 12 1880 (I have not looked for him in this census) 1900 Jasper Pace, age 40 1910 Jasper Pace, age 52 1920 Jasper Pace, age 59 I expect when Jasper was a child he took the last name his mother was using. When grown perhaps he took his father's last name. Don't know this for sure, just a guess on my part. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Barbara Here is all I know, Mary Ann Osborne -m- a Henry Miracle and he started messing around on her with Nancy Lee (per a Descend of Nancy Lee) She said Mary Ann Osborne Divorced him but I have no proof ( According to her Nancy Lee had several children by Henry Miracle out of wedlock ... but they all carried Nancy lee's Name ) I am not totally Sure Mary Ann first Child Martha, May have been a Miracle She married a Joseph Jones I have not gotten her Death Cert nor do I know when she died My theory & Descend say once Wm F Pace died then Mary Ann felt comfortable to tell Jasper he was a Pace .. Wm Francis Pace ran with Devil Jim Turners gang and I am told you didn't mess with them ..We have no proof other than Descend of Jasper say his father Francis Pace who ran with Devil Jim Turner Gang. Jasper father was a Pace ( He is listed as Osborne& Miracle in earlier Census so was his Sister Elizabeth Elizabeth father was a Pace one of her children death notes Mother Elizabeth Pace father unknown Darlene ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2008 1:22 PM Subject: Re: [KYHARLAN] Mary Ann Osborne d/o of William & Catherine (Shell)Osborne > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: barbturner55 > Surnames: Osborne, Miracle, Pace > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.harlan/14664.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I can't find a record for her in the Death Records or the Kentucky Death Index, but she is not in the 1920 Harlan County Census. > Was her husband Henry Calvin Miracle? I think she must have died right after that 1910 Census ... She is not on the 1911 Ky Death index ...... I have tried to find when her son Jasper Pace also died... and one of his descend say he died elsewhere, but right now can't remember where.. I know icould not find a death for him..
