I have a couple of hundred documents from St John the Baptist Catholic Church, baptismal records, marriage applications etc and they all read St John the Baptist Catholic Church, St John, KY. Looking at a map of Hardin Co, KY, Both Rineyville and St John are listed as separate communities and are east a few miles and a bit south of Elizabethtown. Hwy 1600 (Elizabethtown Road) off of Hwy 31W runs right thru Rineyville. St John is just a bit south of Rineyville off Hwy 1357 (Grandview Road) Easy to find if you get a map of the area. Not far away is St Bridget in Vine Grove, St Ambrose in Cecilia, St Ignatius in Harcourt-White Mills. The Church sign today just reads St John Catholic Church and is an active parish. The church cemetery is is great shape and I have been there often and there are many Brown, Cecil, French, Riney, Thomas, Thompson, Vessels, Wiseman, Brangers. The description provided for the church and cemetery in Mary Josephine Jones' book "Hardin Co, KY Cemetery Inscriptions - Vol II" is as follows. "Located at St John Catholic Church, St John, KY on KY Hwy 1538 about 7/10 miles from its intersection with KY Hwy 1357; 8 miles from Elizabethtown"
