Hello listers. I am new to the list. I am hoping someone can help me with the details of the marriage of my great-grandparents, Mary Alice McCollum and James Robert Wimsett, in about 1888. In the 1900 census for Nelson County, they reported that they had been married for 12 years. But they were not married in Nelson County, so I thought I would try Hardin County. Mary was born in 1861. Because she was 27 in 1888, she MAY have been married before. James was born in 1841 and had been married two times before, first to Millie Boon in 1863 and then to Eleanor Thornsberry in 1866. I am hoping the details of this marriage will provide me with the names of Mary's parents. James often went by Robert, and I have seen his last name spelled in many ways, including Winsett, Wimpsett, and Wimsatt. Mary may have gone by Alice, and I have seen her last name spelled in many ways as well, including McCollom, McColm, and McCallum. If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it.
