I saw the artaicle but at the time I had not gotten information I needed to connect. I was working on the Jesse Friend/Mary Polly Hanks connection to my great grandfather X4 John Caldwell. At least now I know why Banner is Banner Friend. I thought it was a strange name at first. Banner was the maiden name of his mother! Phillip Phillps, the Kirkpatricks and the Friends came from Beford county PA. I love the site everyone is soo helpful and no one is rude!! I have seen site where it gets pretty messy!!
