James and Elizabeth were children of my elusive James and Mary Matchett Brown. We think James, Sr., died about 1818 and is buried in the family cemetery - but the field stones are worn and the cattle have been trampling over them, etc. James Brown, Jr. married Nancy Ash, daughter of Reuben Ash and Elizabeth McGrew.
