Thursday, May 16, 1889 Adam Humphries of Hardin Co., died on the 5th of typhoid fever. Was 51 years old. Thursday, Oct 20, 1892 Last Wednesday, a man named Steele and John Humphrey, 2 inmates of the Poor House, became involved in a fight. Humphrey was found the next morning badly bruised and died a few hours later. (In Hart Co. News) Thursday, May 18, 1893 On May 16, Henry Humphries was shot and killed by Embry Bush at Tunnel Hill in Hardin Co. Humphries was about 23 years old and unmarried. Thursday, Oct 18, 1894 Thomas H. Humphrey of Nelson Co., was run over and killed by a train last December. Leaves a wife, Mrs. Susan Humphrey. Thursday, Aug 6, 1896 Mrs. Bettie McDowell died Saturday at the home of Mr. E. H. Humphrey. Was 82 years old. Burial in South Fork. Thursday, Oct 13, 1898 Miss Minnie May Humble of Marion Co., died at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. J. Humphrey, last Saturday of consumption. Thursday, Sept 4, 1902 I. W. Twyman died at his home in Hodgenville last Tuesday, Sept. 2. Had a sarcomous tumor. Burial in Red Hill Cemetery. Was born October 23, 1836. Married June 8, 1869 to Miss Louise Enlow, who with 2 daughters, Mrs. C. A. Humphrey and Mrs. C. J. Hubbard, survive.
