Thursday, March 28, 1889 Thomas Duncan who was born on November 9, 1823, died December 4, 1888. Was married 3 times. First to Miss Kate Washer, whom he had 1 son. Married second to Miss Rachael DAVIS and had 2 sons and 2 daughters. Married third to Miss Rebecca Greenwell and had 3 sons and 4 daughters. His last wife and all of his children, except 2 daughters survive. Thursday, May 16, 1889 Thomas A. Simmons died at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Otta Davis of Elizabethtown on the 5th of brain fever. Thursday, October 23, 1890 James Davis of near Mt. Sherman, died on the 13th. Burial the following day in George Ford Cemetery. Thursday, November 26, 1891 Rolla Davis died at the home of Henry Salsman on the 15th in Green Co. Burial in Skaggs burying ground the following day. Thursday, December 8, 1892 Last Saturday, Tom Skaggs was killed. He was about 15 years old. He was killed by Edward Davis and William Davis who were about the same age. They met each other while hunting and fought. This happened near the LaRue-Hart Co. line. Thursday, October 25, 1894 William Edward Davis, the oldest son of C. C. Davis of near Otter, died Tuesday, October 16. Burial in Mt. Sherman on Thursday. Thursday, April 2, 1896 Mrs. Rachel Davis died at the home of Henry Sympson last Thursday of pneumonia. Was 89 years old. Burial in Red Hill Cemetery on Saturday. Was the mother of Mrs. Henry Symp- ton. She was born October 5, 1817. Married Benjamin Davis on December 10, 1840. Thursday, May 21, 1896 Marian Davis, a farmer living about 5 miles from Elizabethtown on Eagle Mills Road, died Wednesday from congestion of the brain. Thursday, January 28, 1897 John M. Davis died January 12 in St. Joseph, Mo. Was born in Hart Co., Ky. on August 8, 1828. He then moved to Hodgenville. Married September 19, 1881 to Miss Alice Boon. Leaves 2 chil- ren: Clarence, age 13 years old on January 13, and Viola, who is now 7 years old. Moved to Wheeling, Mo. in 1891. Thursday, April 27, 1899 Mrs. Lelia Davis, wife of J. E. Davis and daughter of Mr. R. S. Montague, died Tuesday at her home in Campbellsville. Thursday, July 20, 1899 Robert Davis of Hammonsville, was found dead in a field one day last week. He died of heart trouble. Thursday, August 10, 1899 Mrs. James H. Davis died at her home near Buffalo on Saturday. Burial in Buffalo on Sunday. Died of consumption. Leaves hus- band and 2 daughters, Mrs. Thomas Warren and Miss Ida Davis. Thursday, June 28, 1900 Mrs. Vinetta Davis of Zero, died June 13 at the age of 18 years. Burial same day at Mt. Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Leaves husband and 3 month old baby. Thursday, January 31, 1901 Robert Davis of Zero in Hart Co., died January 22. Leaves a child, father, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Was about 27 years old. Wife died May 1900. Thursday, July 11, 1901 Wesley Davis of Taylor Co., died Tuesday of consumption of the bowels. Burial in Phillips burial ground. Thursday, August 15, 1901 James H. Price was buried Tuesday in Red Hill Cemetery. Was the son of Mr & Mrs Milton Price of LaRue Co. Died in Louisville on August 11 of inflammation of the bowels. Married Miss Ida Davis of Buffalo on July 4, 1900 who survives. Thursday, November 21, 1901 Miss Gertrude Davis, daughter of Ansel Davis, died November 13 at the age of 17 years. Burial in her home cemetery on No- vember 15. Thursday, December 12, 1901 Mrs. Annie Davis, widow of Charles Davis of Bloomfield, died of kidney trouble on December 5. Was upwards of 80 years old. Burial in Bloomfield. Survived by 2 children, Serles Davis and Miss May Davis of Bloomfield. Thursday, January 16, 1902 The daughter of Wesley Davis of Dezarn died on the 10th. Thursday, January 30, 1902 Milford Davis shot and killed Robert Peace. Both men were drunk at Greensburg. Thursday, February 6, 1902 C. Lay accidently shot and killed the 18 year old son of Mark Davis near Chaplin in Nelson Co. last Monday. Thursday, March 13, 1902 Ezra Davis of Green Co., was accidently shot by Guy Thomp- son while playing with a gun. He died Monday. Was about 20 years old. Thursday, June 12, 1902 Mrs. Lucy Davis, wife of J. W. Davis who lives about 6 miles west of Vine Grove, died Sunday at the age of 50 years. Thursday, March 5, 1903 Rev. W. W. Davis died at his home near Coral Hill in Hart Co. last Friday at the age of 71 years. Thursday, March 12, 1903 Mrs. Bell Davis of near Fairthorn, died on the 5th. Burial the following day in family burial ground. Was 59 years old and leaves husband, daughter and 4 sons. Thursday, July 16, 1903 David Bradford of New Haven, was run over and killed by a train on July 10. Leaves sisters: Mrs. E. L. Miles of New Hope, Mrs. Mansel Whitley of New Orleans, La., and Mrs. Mitchell of Vicksburg, Miss. Was a nephew of Jefferson Davis.
