I am researching a James Peters and a Jane Johnson. When the two married in Hardin County January 7, 1887, both had been married before. Jane had married an Isham T. Scott in 1872. I had made the assumption that Isham had died - I know, not a good think to do!!! Yesterday, I received approximately 150 pages of Civil War Pension records on James Peters. To my surprise, the papers state that Jane's first husband Isham and she divorced in 1882. My question is this - is there any index to divorce records in Hardin County for that time period? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Debbie Horine
