Friday, January 15, 1909 Mrs. Sallie Fenwick of Riney visited her cousin, Miss Elizabeth Miller of Cecilian. Mrs. Dave Miller of near Valley Creek had a son born yesterday. Tuesday, January 19, 1909 Mrs. Eunice Miller of LaRue Co. & W. F. Chaudoin were married Saturday at the latter's home in Elizabethtown. Groom is a farmer on Younger's Creek in Hardin Co. where they will reside. Friday, January 22, 1909 Mrs. Ollie Miller of Meade Co. visited her parents, Mr & Mrs Nicholas Scott of East View. Friday, February 5, 1909 Mrs. L. J. Bryan of Louisville visited her parents, Mr & Mrs W. A. Miller of Vine Grove. Tuesday, February 9, 1909 Winnie Miller of Louisville visited his uncle, John Miller of May's Grove. Friday, February 27 (26?), 1909 Mr & Mrs Jo Miller of Louisville visited Mr & Mrs W. P. Carrico and other relatives in Stithton. They were married several months ago but kept it a secret. Mrs. Miller was formerly Miss Isaacs. Tuesday, March 2, 1909 Rev. Argus McDonald died suddenly in Jackson, Tn. on Saturday of a heart attack. Was pastor of the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church for 7 years. Was 67 years old. Born in N. C. and served in the Confederate Army. Married in 1879 to Miss Jimmie Bunnell of Hardin Co., a sister of Mrs. Charlie Miller and Mrs. Martin Phil- lips. All of his brothers and sisters had died suddenly just as he did. Miss Judia A. Miller & James T. Purcell were married in the Co. Clerk's office on Saturday by Co. Judge Veirs. Both are from near Stephensburg. Misses Mary Lizzie Phillips and Bessie Miller went to Jackson, Tn. on Saturday to attend the funeral of their uncle, Rev. Angus McDonald in Jackson yesterday. Friday, March 5, 1909 Moorman Miller of near Glendale celebrated his 85th birthday on Tuesday. Ike Miller, the 14-year old grandson of Mr & Mrs Henry Miller of near East View, was injured badly last Friday by being kicked in the head by a horse. Mrs. Will Miller of Louisville visited her sister, Mrs. Ed Roe. (West Point News) Mrs. Ellen Miller of Louisville visited her niece, Mrs. Wm. Shumate and other relatives of the May's Grove area. Friday, March 12, 1909 Miss Floy Peterson of Campbellsburg visited her sister, Mrs. Samuel M. Miller. The will of Wm. Miller was offered for probate before Co. Judge Veirs yesterday. Under the will half of the estate of the deceased was left to Charles Gusling, his foster child and the other half to go to his wife and at her death to go to Charles Gusling. After the will was written Mr. Miller was married again and had a child by his last wife. He did not make another will. With some scissors someone cut the signature from the will. The court rejected the will. Tuesday, March 16, 1909 Misses Mary Lizzie Phillips and Bessie Miller have returned from Jack- son, Tn. where they attended the funeral of their uncle, Rev. Angus McDonald. Friday, March 26, 1909 Mr. Moorman Miller of near Nolin is 84 years old. He can still do a good days work on the farm. Mrs. John Miller of East View had a daughter born Thursday. Friday, April 2, 1909 Mrs. Martha Scott of Meade Co. has been at the bedside of her daughter, Mrs. E. H. Miller of East View. Friday, April 16, 1909 Miss Georgie Miller of Rineyville visited Miss Elizabeth Miller. (Cecilian News) Friday, April 23, 1909 Mr & Mrs James Stoner, formerly of East View, have twin girls at their home in Louisville. Mother was formerly Miss Kathryn Miller of Meeting Creek. (East View News) Tuesday, April 27, 1909 Ernest Miller of Louisville visited his grandparents, Mr & Mrs Joshua Bennett of West Point. Friday, May 21, 1909 Rev. S. M. Miller at his home in Elizabethtown married John Miller & Miss Lora Miller Wednesday. Both are residents of Taylor Co. Friday, May 28, 1909 Miss Sarah Stuart of Hardin Co. & John Miller of Kline, Co. were married at the Presbyterian parsonage in the groom's home town. Groom is a rancher and met his bride about 15 years ago in Ky. They will reside in Kline. Tuesday, June 1, 1909 Miss Mabel Scott & Wm. Miller were married at the home of the bride in Big Spring last Thursday. Groom is from Greensburg. Mrs. Kain Miller of May's Grove had a daughter born last Sunday. This is her first daughter. Friday, June 4, 1909 Mrs. Ollie Miller has returned to her home in Meade Co. after visit- ing her parents, Mr & Mrs Nicholas Scott of East View. Tuesday, June 8, 1909 Mrs. Ellen Marriott of Cecilian celebrated her 84th birthday on June 6th at the home of her son, John Marriott of Cecilian. Present inclu- ded her five children: Mrs. B. H. Alvey, Mrs. W. W. Long, Mrs. Hardin Miller and Mrs. Henry Sutzer and John Marriott. Friday, June 11, 1909 Whit Handley was found guilty of the murder of James Miller and was given 20 years in the penitentiary. Miller was killed near Cash several years ago and Handley made his escape to Ok. Tuesday, June 15, 1909 Charles Lewis Miller of Hardin Co. celebrated his 80th birthday today at his farm near Elizabethtown. Children and in-laws present: Dr & Mrs Lee Glasscock of Caneyville, Mr & Mrs J. B. Miller of Louisville, H. M. Miller of Lexington and Mrs. Fannie King who lives with him. Friday, June 25, 1909 Miss Alberta Caswell, daughter of Squire and Mrs. Francis M. Cas- well & Benton B. Miller were married at the home of the bride in Sonora on Tuesday. Groom is a telegraph operator at Colesburg.
