Friday, January 31, 1908 Harrow Barrow and wife of E'town, visited the latter's sister, Mrs. J. R. Nall of Vine Grove. Tuesday, March 3, 1908 Mr & Mrs Walker Nall and family of Rineyville, left today for Beau- mont, Tx. where they will make their home. Friday, March 20, 1908 Judge Cyrus Veirs of E'town visited his daughter, Mrs. J. R. Nall of Vine Grove. Friday, March 27, 1908 Wade Nall of Vine Grove & Newt Wright of West Point opened a meat store and restaurant in the V. S. Long building near the depot in West Point. Friday, April 24, 1908 V. H. Nall of Louisville visited his parents, Mr & Mrs J. G. Nall of Vine Grove. Tuesday, May 5, 1908 Mrs. John W. Nall died at her home in Blue Ball on Friday of kidney trouble. Was 68 years old. Survived by husband and 5 children. Was a sister of Mrs. John Wortham of E'town. Member of Blue Ball Church. Funeral Saturday at Blue Ball. Friday, June 12, 1908 Van Nall of San Antonio, Tx. visited his mother and sister at Long Grove and his brother, Joe Nall, who is a telegraph operator at Ce- cilian. Tuesday, June 23, 1908 Mrs. Wm. H. Thomas died at her home near St. John on Sunday from a complication of diseases. Was about 55 years old. Was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas. Born and raised near Glendale. Married W. H. Thomas a number of years ago. Member of Catholic Church. Survived by husband and 6 children: Leo Thomas, Mrs. James Brown, Misses Minnie and Lillie Thomas who lived at home, Mrs. Nall of Cecilian and Mrs. Casteel of Stithton. Burial in the St. John Cemetery yesterday. Friday, June 26, 1908 Hays Nall of Louisville visited his grandparents, Mr & Mrs James Nall of Sulphur Springs. Friday, July 3, 1908 Henry Nall, an aged citizen of E'town, was killed by a freight train Tuesday in Vine Grove. Had lived in E'town the past 30 years. He and his brother, Owen Nall, had gone to town when Henry Nall got out of the buggy to cross the I. C. Railroad track. When about half way over he was hit by the train. He was partially deaf and didn't hear the train coming. His head was knocked off and rolled down the embankment near Burkhardt's Mill, 20 feet from where the body fell. The body was carried to McDonough & Selby undertaking estab- lishment. He was born and reared near Vine Grove. Was 72 years old the day he was buried. He was never married. Survived by his brother, Owen Nall and a sister, Mrs. Scifres, both of near Vine Grove. Member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Burial in church cem- etery on Wednesday. Tuesday, August 4, 1908 Hardin Nall, the 8-year old son of Taylor Nall of near Cecilian, has 6 toes on each foot. Friday, August 7, 1908 Mrs. Roscoe Nall of Vine Grove had a son born recently. The baby is the grandson of Judge Cy Viers. Friday, August 14, 1908 Hewitt Nall and John Nicholas, both of Louisville, visited J. G. Nall and family of Vine Grove. Friday, August 21, 1908 Rev. Richard Mattingly of St. Meinrod's, In. visited his sister, Mrs. R. L. Nall. Tuesday, September 22, 1908 Miss Lena Nall of Louisville visited Miss Effie Smith and other relatives. (Vine Grove News) Friday, September 25, 1908 Mrs. Duke Nall of Dorretts Run had a daughter. Friday, October 2, 1908 Carl Osborne & Miss Mable Shumate were married at the bride's home between Vine Grove and New Salem Church on Wednesday. Groom is from Big Spring area and the son of Mrs. Henry Nall of near Vine Grove. Cyrus W. Hobbs died at his home in Beech, N. D. of typhoid fever. Was 38 years old and born and reared in Vine Grove. Was the son of Taylor Hobbs. Moved west several years ago. Was a brother-in- law of Dr. R. L. Nall of E'town. Tuesday, November 10, 1908 Mrs. Jeff Nall of Atchers had a 10-pound son born recently. The father only weighs a 100 pounds more than his son. Friday, December 4, 1908 George Klinglesmith died at his home in Howevalley yesterday from a complication of dieseases and old age. Was 78 years old. Member of Methodist Church. Born and reared at Franklin X Roads area and a member of the large Klinglesmith family of that area. Survived by wife, a son, Dave Klinglesmith and a daughter, Mrs. Felix Nall. Funeral at Howevalley Church today. Master Vern Nall of Tonieville visited his grandfather, John G. Nall of Vine Grove. Friday, December 11, 1908 Miss Etna Viers of E'town visited her sister, Mrs. J. R. Nall of Vine Grove.
