Helen I found your information very interresting. I am trying to find out if Thomas Gilliland Jr. is my ancestor. I have a Thomas Gilliland who married Mary Bole in Washington Co., IN 28 Jul 1825. According to the Warren Co., IL 1850 census Thomas Gilliland was 54, making his birth year 1896. The census also puts his birth place as Kentucky. A Bole family researcher said Thomas Gilliland was born in Hardin Co., KY, but could not tell me where she got this information. In your information I noticed Rebecca and her husband moved to Washington Co., IN as well as her brother John Gilliland. It looks like they all moved their around 1820, and I know my Thomas was there in 1825. Have you ever come across anything in your research about Rebecca's brother Thomas moving to Washington, Co., IN. I have quite a bit of information on Thomas Gilliland and Mary Bole and their descendants that I would love to share if I can find a connection to the Thomas Gilliland and Priscilla Huff family.
