Thursday, February 9, 1888 Mrs. Allen, the mother of B. W. Allen of Greensburg, died about 10 days ago. Thursday, October 11, 1888 John Allen of Taylor Co., died last Monday when a tree fell on him. Survived by a wife and 2 children. Thursday, February 2, 1893 On Saturday, Mrs. Bettie Allen, wife of Drury Allen, died at Munfordville. Thursday, June 28, 1894 Mrs. Rachel Hoyt of Hardin Co., died Friday at the home of Mart Allen with whom she had been living the past 9 years. Was 95 years old. Thursday, August 30, 1894 Miss Mollie Allen of Clipper died last Thursday of fever. Burial in Popular Grove. Thursday, December 12, 1895 Mr. Bosley Allen's baby died of whooping cough week before last. Thursday, January 30, 1896 Billy Allen died on the 23rd. He would have been 80 years old next June. Leaves 1 child: Mrs. Henry Sherrod of Silva. Thursday, July 16, 1896 Jeptha Allen of Meade Co., age 86 years old, died. Burial in family burial ground near Middle Creek on Monday of last week. Thursday, May 13, 1897 David Allen of Springdale, Ark., formerly of LaRue Co., and brother-in-law of J. M. & J. E. Salle, died at his home in Ark. on the 29th of last month. Was about 55 years old. Leaves wife and 6 children. Thursday, February 17, 1898 The remains of the child of Will Allen of near Clipper, were interred at Popular Grove last Sunday. Thursday, August 18, 1898 Mrs. Amney Allen died at her home on Cedar Creek area of Nelson Co. on Monday of dropsy of the heart. Was 71 years old. Thursday, May 18, 1899 Samuel Allen of Hart Co., was found dead near his home in Woodsonville on Thursday. It is believed that he was killed by a train. Thursday, August 10, 1899 Mr. E. C. Allen of Enoch died last Friday. Leaves wife, a son and a daughter. Burial in Jones burial ground on Saturday. Thursday, June 21, 1900 Henry Allen of Sonora died at the home of his daughter in Louis- ville on Sunday at the age of 88 years. Burial in colored cemetery in Sonora on Monday. Thursday, July 11, 1901 David Allen, who was shot at Scott's Ridge, near Lebanon on Monday, died of his injuries on July 5. Richard Horde died after he was shot on Monday. Both were shot by Clarence Shipp. Thursday, February 6, 1902 Mrs. Ollie Allen, wife of Dr. M. S. Allen, died Sunday. Burial Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church Cemetery. Thursday, June 25, 1903 The little son of James Allen of Maple area died June 16.
