Friday, October 15, 1909 Miss Rebecca Skees, who has made her home with her sister, Mrs. Clifford Miller in Chatham, Ill., was married in Auburn, Ill. on Wednesday to Thomas Hunt, a farmer of near Thomasville, where they will make their home. Bride is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Philip Skees of near Akers Valley, Hardin Co. [Picture of I. T. Miller, candidate for Co. Clerk.] Mr & Mrs Henry C. Miller of Enid, Ok. visited her sister, Mrs. W. H. Cooper of LaRue Co. The Millers have been in Enid for the past 3 years. Cy Miller, a native of Hardin Co., died at his home in LaFayette, In. on Tuesday. Burial yesterday at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Eliza- bethtown. Survived by wife and 2 daughters, the former being a sis- ter of C. J. Lanz of Elizabethtown. Mr & Mrs Tom Miller of Meadow Lawn and Wm. Zion News) Tuesday, October 26, 1909 Dr. & Mrs. E. J. Miller of Flaherty, Meade Co., had a son born Oct. 20th. Friday, October 29, 1909 Mrs. Wm. Miller, nee Burall, died Wednesday at her home in Louis- ville. Burial in West Point in the Dorsey family lot on the Richie farm on the hill. Was 83 years old and related to the Withers and Richie families. Miss Eula Caswell of Sonora visited her sister, Mrs. B. B. Miller of Colesburg. Mrs. Lena Downing and son, Miller of Scottsville, visited Mr & Mrs C. T. Abney and her father, J. Moorman Miller of Sonora. Tuesday, November 2, 1909 Triplett schoolhouse at Stithton held a pie supper last Saturday. Miss Eliza Calvin was voted most popular young lady and Henry Miller voted the ugliest young man present. Tuesday, November 16, 1909 Robert Blakey & Miss Tommy Miller were married at the home of the bride's father, J. D. Miller, Sr. on Tuesday. Both live in Hatcher. (Camp- bellsville Enquirer) Bride is a sister of Rev. S. M. Miller of Elizabethtown. Friday, November 26, 1909 Mrs. Lydia Miller, wife of Harrison Miller of East View, died Wednesday of consumption. Burial on Nov. 26th at Meeting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Member of Methodist Church. Survived by husband, 2 child- ran and 2 stepchildren. Colby Casey died of cancer of the stomach at his home on West Front Street, Ohio Falls, on the suburb of Jeffersonville on Tuesday. He was born in Hardin Co. on the farm adjoining the Lincoln land, which has now become famous. Was a bricklayer in younger days. Born Oct. 22, 1823 and was the last of the family of 7 boys and 3 girls. His parents owned a good size tract of land adjoining the Abraham Lincoln farm and there the father of Casey died after the age of 90. The widow and several of her children then went to Jackson Co., In. and there she died at the home of her son, Wm. Casey, who was a well-to-do farmer. Colby Casey then located in Scott Co., where he owned a good farm and a brickyard. Ele- ven years ago he came to Ohio Falls. When a young man he married Miss Mary Estell and they had a daughter. He married a second time on Feb. 17, 1851 to Miss Emily Johnson, who survives her husband. They had 6 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. James Groves, Mrs. John Groves, Mrs. Frank Applegate of Jeffersonville; Mrs. Anna Harrison of Ohio Falls; Mrs. C. Dwinnell of St. Matthews, Ky; Mrs. James Miller of Kansas City, Mo; Robert Casey and Edgar Casey of Clarksville, In. Member of Methodist Episcopal Church. Miss Flora Miller of Richmond, In. & J. E. Howell of Cincinnati were married recently at the bride's home. Bride is the daughter of Miles Miller of Nolin. She was formerly a school teacher in Hardin Co. schools. Tuesday, November 30, 1909 Mrs. Samuel M. Miller visited her parents, Mr & Mrs E. F. Peterson of Campbellsville. Friday, December 3, 1909 Miss Jessye Miller, daughter of Mrs. Mattie Miller of Glendale & Percy E. Mossbarger, son of Wm. Mossbarger of near Elizabethtown, will marry at the home of the bride on Wednesday, Dec. 22nd. Tuesday, December 14, 1909 Mrs. Lillie Miller of Louisville visited Mrs. John Miller, Sr. of Vine Grove. Friday, December 17, 1909 C. P. Wathen of Vine Grove went to West Point to visit her sister, Mrs. Will Miller, who has been in Ok. for 22 years. She and her daughter, Mattie Lee Miller, will spend the winter with the former's mother, Mrs. Mary Wathen. Tuesday, December 21, 1909 Miss Jessye Miller, daughter of Mrs. Mattie Miller of Glendale, & Percy Mossbarger, son of A. W. Mossbarger, will marry tomorrow at Glendale. Mrs. Mattie Miller and daughter of Shattuck, Ok. visited Mrs. M. B. Wathen and other relatives in West Point. This is her first visit to Ky. in 22 years. Friday, December 24, 1909 Mrs. W. S.
