Hello, In the Abstracts of the Records of the Courts of Quarter Sessions, Hardin County, Kentucky, 1792-1801 by Roberta Hofmann, there is a case of the Commonwealth vs George Whale for "not having God before his eyes nor acting with a due regard to the rights & priviledges of other good Citizens of the Commonwealth." George and Mary Husted were accused of having an adulterous relationship, etc. (I have entire extract, if you want it.) Gilbert is the brother of my John Husted (we think). I am trying to track down what happened to Mary and George Whale to help fill in some of the holes. Also if anyone knows more about the rest of the family? Gilbert, Jesse and Caleb Husted moved to Breckinridge (or lived in that part of Hardin County when it was divided). Jesse was in Hardin County for a longer time. The family (minus Gilbert) eventually moved to Illinois. We think that Gilbert might have died in Breckinridge County about 1806. Is anyone out there related to any of these families? I have these marriage records of Gilbert's children: 1. Mary to Henry Carter in 1788 in Harrison County, Virginia 2. Catherine to William Fisher in 1790 in Woodford County, Kentucky 3. Jesse to Elizabeth T. Kennedy (Mrs. Charles McGovern) in 1808 in Hardin County, Kentucky (some question as to whether or not Jesse is a child of Gilbert or a nephew...) 4. Ann to Edward Askins in 1803 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky 5. Caleb - we can't find his marriage record or wife's name, but have 4 children I have followed the family (including William Fisher, Edward Askins) in court records, land records. Thanks - and I am happy to email anyone any of the records that I have... Kathie -- M. Kathleen Felsted mkfelsted@gmail.com
