Friday, January 22, 1909 Allen Ament was re-elected President of the Cecilian Bank with Wood English as Vice-President. The Board of Directors are: M. N. Cralle, C. M. Vertrees, J. C. Cardwell, H. S. Gardner, J. F. French, I. F. Gross, Allen Ament and C. Z. Aud. Friday, February 5, 1909 Dudley Bethel of Memphis, son of Mrs. Emma Bethel, formerly of Cecilian, and a nephew of the late H. W. English, was seriously injured in a wreck in Memphis on Tuesday and the chances of his recovery are against him. Tuesday, March 30, 1909 Mrs. Lottie English brought suit in the courts of Louisville for divorce from her husband, Charles English. They were married in Hardin Co. in 1898 and have 2 daughters. Abandonment is alleged. Dr. Carroll C. English and Logan English of Louisville visited their parents, Mr & Mrs Wood English. Friday, April 9, 1909 R. C. English and family and Dr. Doyle of Louisville visited Mr & Mrs James English. (Cecilian News) Friday, April 16, 1909 Henry English of Lakeland and Miss Virginia English of Bethlehem visited their parents, Mr & Mrs Tom English of Cecilian. Tuesday, June 1, 1909 Bob Bethel of Louisville visited his cousin, Proctor English. Tuesday, June 8, 1909 Proctor English, son of the late Judge H. W. English, is seriously ill of a complication of diseases and there is little hope of his recovery. Proctor English died Wednesday morning as the home of his mother in Elizabethtown. Was 33 years old. Survived by mother, 9 sisters and a brother. Burial in City Cemetery yesterday, beside his father, the late Judge Horace English. (The title of the article stated he died Tuesday night.) Tuesday, June 9, 1909 Mr & Mrs J. E. Austin and children will leave tomorrow for their home in Bolivar, Mo. after visiting her mother, Mrs. Ruth English. Friday, July 2, 1909 Miss Caswell English of Owensboro visited her cousin, Mrs. Neppie Cecil and family of Cecilian. Friday, July 23, 1909 R. F. English of Cairo, Ill. visited his sister, Mrs. John Hargan and Mrs. J. T. Carlisle of Vine Grove. Tuesday, October 5, 1909 Miss Katherine Cook of Cecilian & J. William English of Glendale will marry on Oct. 27th at Glendale Christian Church. Bride is the daughter of Mrs. Nannie Cook. Groom is the son of Silas English. Tuesday, October 26, 1909 Miss Katherine Cook & Wm. English will marry at Glendale Christian Church tomorrow. They will reside at the groom's father, Silas English of near Glendale. The bride is a blonde. Friday, November 5, 1909 Miss Ella Bethel of Louisville & H. F. Baskett of Edlis, Mo. were married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Emma Bethel of Cecilian. Bride lived in Cecilian until a few years ago. Daughter of the late Warren Bethel and niece of late Judge Horace English. They will reside in Mo. Mr & Mrs C. M. Vertrees and Miss Bessie English visited Mrs. Vertrees' mother, Mrs. Kittie Moore of Leitchfield. I found this on Hardin County, Ky records. 5/20/1909 Book G page 406 JOHNSON WILLIAM This was filed 5 days after his death on 15 May 1909. Does anyone have access to these records I would like to know what it says. Thanks in advance.
