Edmonson of Eliza- bethtown, & Charles Lasley, a saddler of Hodgenville, were married in Jeffersonville on Monday. Mrs. John Thompson is a sister of the bride and was present at the marriage. They will reside in Hodgen- ville. Tuesday, January 19, 1909 Wm. Thompson died Friday at the home of his brother-in-law, Bud Stuart of near Red Mills, where he visited. Died of pneumonia. He lived in Louisville. Survived by wife and 4 children. He was a brother- in-law of the late R. E. Stuart at Glendale. Funeral at the Catholic Church near Red Mills by Father Autheman of Cecilian and burial in Stuart Cemetery. Tuesday, March 2, 1909 Mrs. Henry Kinser of Leitchfield died suddenly at the home of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson yesterday. Burial at the ceme- tery near Leitchfield. Tuesday, April 20, 1909 Samuel Biglow & Miss Rennie Thompson, both of near Elizabeth- town, were married in Jeffersonville on Sunday. Groom is a 25-year old farmer and the son of George Biglow of near Tunnel Hill. Bride is 22-year old daughter of the late Thomas Thompson. Mrs. Geo. Smith of Cherry Hill visited her sister, Mrs. Will Thompson. (West Point News) Tuesday, April 27, 1909 Wm. Thomas & Miss Nettie Thompson were married in Jeffersonville on Sunday. Bride is a native of Hardin Co. but has resided in Louisville for several years. Groom is a machinist and lives in Lebanon. Tuesday, May 4, 1909 Mrs. Bettie Thompson of Hardinsburg visited Mr & Mrs E. F. Thompson of Hardin Co. Friday, July 23, 1909 Mrs. Robert Thompson, an aged and respected lady of New Haven, died suddenly on Wednesday while returning from a social gathering. Tuesday, August 10, 1909 Mrs. J. Ira Thompson of Guston visited her sister, Mrs. R. L. Nall. Friday, September 24, 1909 Mrs. Ira Thompson of Guston visited her sister, Mrs. J. S. Owings of West Point. Tuesday, September 28, 1909 Columbus Riggs of Meade Co. & Miss Thompson of Meade Co. were married. Groom is the son of Jordon Riggs, formerly of East View and grandson of M. C. Humble of that community. Tuesday, October 5, 1909 John Gunning died at the age of 81 years at his home on the Riney- ville Road, several miles from Elizabethtown on Saturday. Was a native of Ireland and came to U.S. at the age of 19 years. Settled in Hardin Co. shortly afterwards. Married Miss Julia Thompson over 50 years ago. Survived by wife, 7 sons and 3 daughters. Member of Catholic Church. Burial in Catholic Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown. A 16-month old son of Mr & Mrs Charley Thompson of St. John died Friday. Friday, October 15, 1909 Wm. Clark was found dead in his bed at the home of his nephew, Robert Clark at St. John yesterday. Believed to have died of heart trouble. Was 65 years old and a native of Hardin Co. Was unmarried and has resided with his nephew for the past 5 or 6 years. Member of Catholic Church. Survived by a brother, Joe Clark and a sister, Mrs Mary Jane Thompson, both of Marion Co. Burial in St. John Church Cemetery today. Tuesday, October 26, 1909 Mrs. Mary Brashear of West Point left for Amarillo, Tx. where she will spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. S. Thompson. Friday, November 19, 1909 Samuel J. Thompson of Louisville died at the age of 54 years suddenly from a ruptured blood vessel of the head at their home in Louisville. (East View News) Friday, November 26, 1909 Bernard Thompson & Miss Leathie Thomas, both of Louisville, were married in Jeffersonville on Tuesday. Groom was born in Hardin Co. and is the 21 year old son of James Thompson, a cooper. Bride is a native of Marion Co. and is 18 years old. Friday, December 24, 1909 Henry and Amas Slinker of Pierce attended the marriage of their sister Della to Robert Thompson. (Upton News)
