I am not related to the Sadlers but my niece's husband descends from them and I did some research for him. I found that John Saddler was born about 1829 in Ky and was married to Elizabeth Shawler on Feb 28, 1852. They had the following children according to the 1860 and 1870 census of Hardin Co.: 1. Sarah J, born 1854 and married Wm D Best 2. David,born Jan 17, 1856 and married Mary Elizabeth Helm 3, Catharine, born 1857, married Wilford Scott Driscill 4. Eliza, born 1863, married Eli T Hohimer 5. William, born 1860 6. Nancy, born 1868 There were probably others that died in infancy.
