Hello list, I am seeking more information on Jonathan Harris and his wife Catherine [Peters] Harris. They were present at the beginning of the Beaver Dam Baptist church. First meeting was may 29th 1804, also listed at this meeting was James Harris, Mayhew Harris and possibly their wives but I don't know who to match with who as this is a gray area in rebuilding this Harris line, listed are Molly Harris and Nancy Harris, both of these Harris wives are probably buried where that first church was in 1804 and located in present day Grayson Co., KY. In the 1810 census Mayhew Harris is listed with children and no wife and he marries in 1811 Lydia Gray. James Harris I have listed as first wife as Lydia Mellon married about 1792, daughter of Lawerance Giles. For a second marriage I have James and Ann Giles! Were Lydia and Anne Giles sisters? Info on any of these Harrises would be appreciated! Was Jonathan from a different line of Harrises and how are Molly and Nancy Harris related? James and Mayhew were sons of Samuel and Susannah [Mayhew] Harris. There is a lot of info in the Hardin Co. rootsweb archives but nothing that I could find on the questions above.
