James b. 1796-I'm looking for his father-the only clue I have is that a Thomas Peters signed the marriage bond (1824)OF James S. Peters and Jane McMahan. Thomas Peters, though, according to the Census, was b. 1780 which does not seem likely for the father, but he and Elizabeth Peters had many children. Evidently, a Thomas Peters lived in Hardin who was b. 1788 and] died in 1858 in Hardin. I do not know if there were 2 Thomas Peters! Any info. appreciated! Carp;
