Thank you Jude. I found my Great, great, great, great Grandfather, Samuel Harris and his wife Phoebe Fulkerson, however, it shows their marriage as Nov. 23rd, 1818. I always thought Phoebe was my GGGGrandfather, John Mayhugh Harris', mother, but she can't possibly be if the wedding date is correct, because he was born 1807. So either Phoebe was a second or third wife for Samuel Harris (very common among the Harris men of that era) or they had a really long common law marriage until they made it official in 1818, or the marriage date is way off. Anyone else see this discrepancy? Samuel served in the Battle of New Orleans with General Jackson it should be noted.
