Thursday, October 18, 1888 Steve Perkins from near Brushy in Taylor Co., died last week. Thursday, December 27, 1888 Mrs. Mary A. Perkins and William Houston, age 17 years old, the son of Joel Houston, both died in a train wreck on Monday. Thursday, January 3, 1889 The remains of Mrs. Mary A. Perkins and Willie Houston were buried in Old Skaggs burial ground on December 25. Thursday, June 19, 1890 Jesse DeSpain was shot and killed by James Ellet Perkins after a fight near the LaRue-Taylor Co. line. Leaves wife and 6 small chil- dren. Thursday, June 15, 1893 The infant child of Mr & Mrs John Perkins of Summerville died on the 6th. Thursday, March 12, 1896 Henly Perkins died March 6 of typhoid fever. He would have been 63 years old on March 7. Was born in Washington Co. Moved to Green Co. early in life. After the war, he settled in Hart Co. in 1890. Married twice and leaves a wife, 4 sons and 3 daughters. Burial in Providence on the 7th. Thursday, March 26, 1896 A child of William Perkins died last week of whooping cough. Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Thursday, June 4, 1896 The remains of Mrs. Alice Perkins, wife of William Perkins of Buffalo, were buried here in Jones Cemetery on June 2. Thursday, June 11, 1896 Mrs. Lou Alice Perkins died June 7 at the home of her parents of con- sumption. Was the wife of William Perkins and the daughter of Whit Akin of near Mt. Tabor. Was 30 years old. Married in 1881. Leaves husband, 2 children, boy age 12 and a girl age 4. Burial in Jones Cem- etery in Green Co. Was the granddaughter of Rev. Moses Akin. Thursday, July 16, 1896 In memory of Alice Perkins, wife of William Perkins, who died May 31, 1896. Thursday, December 17, 1896 William Perkins died at his home in Horse Cave on Sunday of heart trouble. Thursday, April 17, 1902 On April 10, Mattie Belle Perkins, daughter of William & Fannie Perkins, died at the age of 22 years. Burial in Popular Grove Church Cemetery. Miss Mattie Perkins, daughter of William Perkins of Otter, died last Thursday. Burial in Popular Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Tay- lor Co.
