    1. Re: [KYHARDIN] John Johnson and Elizabeth Booth
    2. John & Carolyn Carson
    3. Would this John Johnson be the same one named in John Carson, Sr's 1824 will as a grandson? We have no record of a daughter who married a Johnson, but he did receive a 3rd interest in his grandfather's estate. Our assumption is that he might have been raised in the grandfather's household since the other grandsons listed received only a cow. The will also listed the fathers of the other grandsons, but not John Johnson's.

I am trying to connect this family to Jefferson Davis. They had some personal items that were given to the Davis Memorial but have not found this location. I have gone to Christian County KY and recently to Montgomery Alabama. A quilt and clock is what I am researching.

    1. Jane Johnson and P.R. McGee
    2. Jerry L. Clark
    3. 8-31-1862 D 4 JOHNSON JANE MCGEE P R Anyone have a better listing that gives more details for this marriage? Can someone do a Look-up please and find this Couple on Census records. I'm wondering if the Jane Johnson was Mary Jane Johnson. Likely on 1870 Census together. On heir list of Mary M. Johnson (Payne) Hayden is listed: 64. 64.JANE MCKEE I realize spelling of surname is slightly different, but If I can find them on a Census record to know their ages. 1850 Hardin Co Ky HH 185 William Willett 44 Farmer Ky Martha 34 Ky Sanford T 10 Ky Warren 7 Ky Melford 3 Ky Lucinda Harned 24 Ky Ellen Johnson 60 Ky Nancy 20 Ky William 19 Ky Mary 16 Ky 1860 Cen Hardin Co, Ky; pg 52, Jul 6, 1860, Nolynn; p 136 of 1860 Cen 376 is: HH 367 Ellen Johnson 71 f 500 100 MD Jane 26 f Ky Eliza A. 1 f Ky The reason I ask is because Mary Johnson age 16 on 1850 Census Hardin County, KY is listed as Jane Johnson age 26 on 1860 Census Hardin County, KY. And if same girl who married to P.R. McGee then this girl would be the daughter of George Johnson and Eleanor Dawson. I need to prove if this is same girl.

    1. Marriage Lookup
    2. I am hoping that someone on the list can help me in finding marriage dates for some of my grandfather's brothers. Ova Vertrees first married Hallie Lindsey in 1939. She died in Hardin County, Ky in 1950 and at some time Ova married Dolly Hellems. I am guessing they married in Hardin County. Joseph E. Vertrees married Mary Atcher, dau of Henry Atcher about 1925. Possibly in Hardin County or Jefferson County, Ky. Herman Lee Vertrees first married Iva Irene Cundiff in 1928. After her death in 1984, he later married to Jearline Raymer Oliver. He was living in Jefferson County at the time and they may have married in there. Any help greatly appreciated. Priscilla

    3. Shot Pouch Creek! Look at this website and go to page 57, you will see a map of streams in Ky and if you know the area, then you can use the magnifying glass icon to enlarge the names. I googled "shot pouch creek" Ky and came up with this. You might try googling it yourself and seeing what else comes up about it. I find so much genealogy on google, but you have to use the quotes to zero in. Good luck!
