Looking for any info on John MILLER who shows up in 1850 census for Hardin Co. as age 64 born in Pa. with wife Sally age 55 born Ky. Their children are reported to be: Michael b. 1806, Elizabeth b. 1808, Abraham b. 1811, Dolly b. 1813, Violetty b. 1816, Delilia b. 1818, David b. 1822, Julian Ann b. 1825, Miles b. 1828, Melissa Ellan b. 1829 and Sally b. 1832. Supposedly, this John Miller was married more than once. I am interested in knowing if this John Miller is related to my David Miller and Deborah Zook who arrived in Nelson Co., Ky. about 1796/7 from Pa. They settled near Raywick in present day Marion Co. and raised 12 children one of which was a son named John. Also, does anyone know what part of Hardin Co. this John Miller was located? Hi Listers, I'm new to your list and wondered if there are any RICHARDSON researchers here? I am looking for g-grandpa Thomas Richardson born 1816 in SC. Several other researchers have suggested my Thomas Richardson came from Hardin County, KY and not SC where we've been looking. I have him in Rankin County, MS in the 1850 census living with the F.H.C. DENT family as a laborer; then in 1853 he moves to Trinity County, TX where he stayed, married and raised a family. This is the line I am interested in. I think they are the group that went on to KY, then on to IN and IL. Abigail, in this case, would have been Abigail Rhodes, daughter of John Rhodes. Does someone have the Rhodes line information as well? John Allen could have been the son of Archibald and Abigail (Rhodes) Allen. I do believe part of the line did go on to North Carolina-but I do not have details. Melissa T. I have a book published in 1615 at the University of Cambridge. It is a religious book on how to live you life according to the word of God. The book has some handwriting beginning in 1690's for the birth of Abraham Farrow's children. Then a William Williams lends the book to Archibald Allen in Stafford Co in the year of 1743. I know that there was a John Allen born to Archibald & Abigail Allen in Stafford during 1743. Archibald must have kept the book as John Allen wrote in his own hand. The last person to own the book and record in it was a Samuel Holiday who wrote he owned this book in 1804. Samuel must have been educated as he wrote in Latin. I was given the book by my uncle in Buncombe Co, NC. He said his Uncle Jesse Wright gave the book to him, saying "This book belongs to our family and came across the ocean with our ancestors." I know that Archibald & Abigail were in Prince William Co and Fauquier Co. I do not know where they went or their son John. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
